Initial Environment Examination (IEE) and Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) is carried out, whichever is required for the project. It takes care of requirements of environment and social accountability as spelled out in NEQ, ISO 14001 and SA 8000 to handle the labor and manpower. In renewable energies, there is little potential risk to the environment from the construction and operation of the power station; the same can successfully be managed by appropriate technology and sound management of operations.An Environmental Management Plan is developed to ensure that the impacts identified during assessment are catered well.
